The December 2001 issue of the Sentinel reported that, according to the December 3, 1950 St. Mary’s Sunday Bulletin, “Our new Christmas crib arrived from Europe last week. It is a beautiful work of art, hand-carved, of wood and beautifully decorated. It cost a little over $1600.”
